The Man in the Treehouse

Posted by admin

You’re working as a detective and a case demands that you seek out a hermit to get some potentially crucial information.  You arrive at the “address” to see a fantastic treehouse.  What happens next?  And why are you there? Give us 100 words or more to explore the topic.  Let us know if you write about it on your blog so we can all enjoy it :)

Surprised, the youthful man looked straight from the pages of GQ. Not the hermit I pictured.

“May I help you?” he asked.

“Mr. Jones? I was hoping you might have some information about this woman?”

I showed the picture of Miss. Cleo.

Sighing, “Would you like to come in?”

He gestured to a table, I sat.

    “Coffee, tea?” he asked.

I took the mug, sipped & gasped.

Miss. Clio’s face, screaming & fist looked as if they were hitting the mug.

Mr. Jones held a plain white mug. “I’m sorry.”

Shelving two mugs, one was damp with tears.
